Rev. Jerry Stephens
Reverend Jerry Stephens has been a leader and pioneer in the local community for 30+ years. He is passionate about the economic development of the people and is actively working toward community improvement/innovation.
Mr. Stephens is a man who wears many hats. He is currently serving as the County Commissioner of District 1. He has served in that role for 14 years. He has helped so many throughout his years of service and has plans to continue his work in the community when he completes this final year in office.
Jerry Stephens is also the Founder and CEO of “United Professional Service Insurance” located at 129 E 3rd Ave in Red Springs, NC. He has been running his business successfully since 1988 and continues to educate people on the importance of entrepreneurship.
Mr. Stephens has been a role model and mentor throughout the years. He has a wealth of knowledge of how to obtain independence and be self sufficient. His core values are directly in line with what we are all about.

Owen Thomas & Lumberton City Council Members
The Lumberton City Council Men & Women collectively raised enough revenue to contribute to our initial project. Their donations helped UNITE bless 25 families with virtual learning supplies. Owen Thomas (P8) presented the proposal to the council and led in his giving. His generous donation prompted the others to give. The other city commissioners that contributed to this project were: Leroy Rising (P1), Melissa Robinson (P2), John Carroll (P3), Karen Higley (P4) and Eric Chavis (P7).
