Our Co-Presidents, Franklin and Carlena Smith, led a 8 – week mini leadership course, “Chosen by God”. The course was based on their Principles of Leadership Workbook and was focused on empowering others and helping them develp as a christ-centered leader.

Coach Bush took our athletes to the most AAU track tournaments this year. Our athletes, after three years of training, really begin to shine on the track. We changed our look and our confidence and we settled in as, not so new-bies anymore.
Understanding that our town gets a lot of bad publicity for the negative things that happen in the community, UNITE leaders wanted to take an evening to celebrate the youth that are working hard and having success. This banquet is designed to celebrate what the children did well the previous school year.
The Lumberton All Stars take on yet another year growing in numbers and in talent. Coach Dixon and Bush take the program to another level investing in athletes on and off the track. This makes for the best season yet.
Ampify Camp was a three-weel summer camp implemented by UNITE Education Foundation in partnership with the Lumberton Housing Authority, Steppers With Attitude (SWA) and Triumpt Team. The program provided structured evening activities such as three on three basketball skills training, high-energy step and dance classes and a tutoring component.
Coach Dixon partnered with UNITE Education Foundation’s health and wellness initiative and develops a track club that eventually grows AAU roots. The children enjoy developing athletically and socially as they realize thier biggest competition is within.
Young Chefs Academy is a health and wellness iniative put together by Lumberton Housing Authority, UNITE Education Foundation & Mrs. Foy, a neighborhood mother. Teaching our children how to properly food can help them nurture their curiousity and promote longevity.
UNITE and other non profits in the community put together a 4-day Juneteenth festival from Thursday, June 16th to Sunday, June 19th to build community and celebrate freedom. Our event was designed to benefit children.
We will be taking the time to build a foundation in struggling readers. The goal is to help children improve in the areas of reading, writing & spelling.
UNITE understands the value of the father’s in our community. We will create a virtual presentation highlighting our everyday heroes. Fathers will be shown appreciation for thier commitment to thier children, their homes and community.
